Steff,
I do not think that authentication can be accomplished on novell as it =
can be on unix because you do not connect to the novell server to execute =
the sqlplus / comand. You log into your client and then execute the =
sqlplus command which will ask you for a username/password and connect =
string to get to the server or servers. Novell is a networking product not =
a true OS product. Novell and the connect strings are controlled by what =
in available in your tnsnames.ora file on the client and what you have =
configured on the server using easycfg. Things may have changed when they =
released ver 5.1 and you get the DNS working but on ver 4.11 I can't get =
in to work as it does in unix.
