There could be lot of Archived files due to several
factors - Small size of redo logs, for one.
Anyway, to look at the Archived logs, I think you
could use Logminer available with version 8.1.x and I
believe you could also build the data dictionary in
version 8.0.x using 8.1.x scripts. Haven't used it
yet, but you could search Oracle docs or Metalink to
get more info.
