Yes, and here are my observations for Kana 5.0 on Oracle 7.3.4.

The physical model includes only three tablespaces (two data, one index). There are 94 tables and 159 indexes, most of the tables are in one tablespace. The objects are created with all kinds of crazy storage combinations, eg., initial 1MB next 50MB pctincrease 30, and some even missing tablespace clauses. After monitoring growth and performance over a period of time, I starting doing some database surgery.
There are 71 views which are queried by the web and reports clients. No evidence suggests SQL tuning was done for these views (unless 159 indexes is considered "tuning"). A single query might access one view, or join several views.
Messages are categorized using rules. If any rules are in conflict, watch out for mail loopers, database storage can be consumed very quickly.
