Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Re: Why does a simple delete takes 12 hours and longer ?
There may be multiple reasons.
The most common problem with deletes:
Are there foreign constraints pointing to ojs_main_multiple. If the column
that references (by foreign constraint) ojs_main_multiple is not indexed and
the table that contains that column is big this may slow down the delete
considerably.
