Hello all -
Oracle 8.1.5, HP/UX 11.0
I have a recovery catalog on a server separate from our db servers. I am linking the MM software (Omniback) to Oracle, but I have to wonder - does Oracle on the dbserver have to be linked too? Or can I just link the recovery catalog executable? I'm going to try it out and see what happens, but I have a feeling I have to link both of them. The documentation does not say specifically. It just says 'Link Oracle, here's the command'.
Any comments/ pointers to documents are appreciated.
Thanks
