Have you checked v$session to see what those processes are? It is possible that you run dbsnmp and those processes belong to dbsnmp, not OEM?

I totally agree that OEM is not a well designed product. It has given me a lot of frustration. Oracle Support on snmp stuff is not good either. OEM 2 and DBA studio interface are a bit better than their equivalent predecessors, but are still not as good as other company's products (like DBArtisan).

Hi,

Recently we have been working with OEM and have noticed a problem with it leaving sessions hanging after shutting down OEM console and studio. We are running both the management server and the oracle 8.1.6 server on the same platform, Solaris 2.6. We are running the OEM console / studio from windows NT. Has anyone had problems with database processes hanging around after disconnecting?

TIA, Alan
