Check you listener.ora and tnsnames.ora file on the box running the OEM console. I had the same problem and found that the tnsnames.ora was not complete on the NT box where I run OEM. It might have been the listener file also.

Subject: OEM 2.0.5 db flag stays red

I installed OEM 2.0.5. on a test server, to show how it works to an Oracle trainee who is doing her work term here for a couple of months.

One of the flags for the databases in the Groups panel stays red even though the database is opened and accessible. This happens to be the database containing the OEM repository.

It's pretty ironic that when we double-click on the database, the green traffic light shows up, and that this is the OEM console's own repository.

Does anyone have any idea why the flag would stay red all the time? Is this a bug?

Thanks.
