No, no problem with that. I have even resized redo logs (by deleting and then re-adding at different size) while production was up. In the case of deleting, I first made sure which redo log was currrently active (by issuing a SELECT * FROM V$LOG) and first doing all the inactive logs, then a logswitch to make the active one inactive.
