<soapbox on>
I beg to differ on the junio DBA part, my first job after the military was as a Unix SA, first day on the job(this is back in '92, oracle 6 days), my new boss asked, "do you know anything about oracle?", my reply was no, but does it come with instructions?, She says "yes"(she must have used the term lossely, as v6 install guide was lame at best).
they wanted it installed on the sun os box i was playing SA on. hence my career in oracle began that way.
with the shortage of people in the oracle dba arena(much less IT), companies yes are looking for some kind of way to "think" you're a DBA and maybe OCP fills it for now but passing a test does not make someone a DBA.
