Hi,

We're a dot com company doing sales on the web 24/24h 7 days a week.
We're outsourcing all dba and systems production tasks to a third party, that's 2 Oracle 8i databases and 10-12 unix servers.

We have written a production guide and the third party must follow it. For example, they must check that no disk goes beyond 80%, they must send me an email each time an error is logged in the alert.log, they must verify the export and backup logs,...

Depending on the situation, they're taking a corrective action , send an email or called.

The bright side is that I can concentrate on what I liked the most : development and tuning !!!
