I agree completely. After working with PLSQL for 10 years, JAVA seems very
difficult to me.
Sorry, I can only agree with you, can't help you out yet. But I have to
learn.

Subject: Java
I recently created a trigger in PL/SQL that I would like to convert it over to Java just so I can start learning this new language.
So far, Java seems complicated to me. I have found several manuals and white papers to read (Java Stored Procedures Developer's Guide, Developing Stored Procedures in Java, Developing Oracle8i Applications with PL/SQL and Java, etc.) I am having a hard time trying to figure out what the book is saying and applying it to my project.
Have any of you been in the same boat? Have any of you found good manuals that have helped?
I could really use some examples. Does anyone have a trigger written in PL/SQL and Java?
Any assistance would be appreciated.
Tom
