Subject: Howto return data > 4k from a stored procedure ?!
We are using Java stored procedures inside an Oracle 8i database. Some of the procedure need to return strings between 4k and 100k large (either as return parameter or as OUT parameter). But the Oracle datatype to Java datatype mapping does not allow to pass strings > 4k because VARCHAR2 is limited to 4000 bytes.
Is there a way to get rid of this limitation ?
