U have confused PL/SQL varchar2 datatype with Oracle VARCHAR2 column

You can store upto 32K characters in a PL/SQL varchar2 variable!

Subject: DBMS_SQL
Hi all,
I´m facing a problem with dbms_sql in release 8.0.4. I´ve to parse a statement that are longer than 4000 characters, so varchar2 can´t accept this. I supose for this case, i might create another type base on a table type, but i don´t know how to use this way. Please, Could someone tell me if this is correct way and give a short example.
Thank you in advance,
Jorge Alves.
