Accesss to V$ tables to a developerTry creating a view on the necessary = 'V$' table and grant access to the view to him.
A quick and dirty solution in 8.x will be to grant the =
SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE, although this will give him/her access to many =
objects.
=20
IMHO, better solution is to use a heavy, blunt and cheap object as it =
must be done to developers that ask for admittance to the holy DBA land.

Subject: Accesss to V$ tables to a developer
Hello Friends,=20
I am facing an intereting problem at my office. I want to give to a = perticular developer access to all V$ tables. What is the role that i = have to grant. He wants access to a view called v$sqlarea(or v$sqlbase i = don't remember). And he says the DBA has to run a script called = utlmontr.sql.What is this ?Any idea?
Thanks in advance=20
