You need to install Oracle Client for Solaris, not ODBC. Then you can
configure DSN's using $ORACLE_HOME/bin/net8asst.sh, which simply creates
tnsnames.ora entries (although I generally do this using my favorite
tool, which is vi).
Far as I know, there is no such concept as ODBC for Unix systems... someone please correct me if I'm wrong!
