Accesss to V$ tables to a developerIf I remember correctly, the utlmontr.sql
script creates the creates the monitorer role which has permissions to the
V$ tables. I believe this was replaced in recent versions of Oracle with
the SELECT_CATALOG_ROLE which has permissions a bunch of views (not just the
V$ ones)...

Subject: Accesss to V$ tables to a developer
Hello Friends,
I am facing an intereting problem at my office. I want to give to a perticular developer access to all V$ tables. What is the role that i have to grant. He wants access to a view called v$sqlarea(or v$sqlbase i don't remember). And he says the DBA has to run a script called utlmontr.sql.What is this ?Any idea?
Thanks in advance
Uma Shankar
