Hi Gurus
Can someone please explain to me what exactly this parameter is used for =
in
the listener.ora? The documentation says that it sets the number of =
seconds
that the listener waits to get a valid database query after the session =
has
started. But my concept of the listener is that it identifies incoming =
connections
from clients and either spawns a dedicated server process or directs the =
client
to a pre-spawned server process or dispatcher process and provides the =
client
process with the address of this server process so that they now =
communicate
directly with each other and the listener no longer has anything to do =
with
the communication. But this parameter is used for "after the session has
started".
Someone please clarify this for me!
Regards
Natasha
