Did you check it before posting?. I am on 8.1.6 on Win 2000 and after clicking on version tab I see file version 0.0.0.0

Or you can right-click on the Oraclexx.EXE file and choose Version TAB for more information. I think all EXEs and DLLs (sometimes) provide this information.

I usually check the bin directory for the size/timestamp of ORACLExx.EXE before and after I install the patch and compare it with the one included in the patch.
