when the instance starts, oracle will automatically
adjust the cpu_count parameter.
you might need to adjust/increase the following. (i'm on 7.3.2, AIX)
db_writers = no. of cpu's
db_block_lru_latches = 2 * no of cpu's
log_simultaneous_copies = ?
