Ray Lane stepping down

I read in Monday's Wall Street Journal that Ray Lane is stepping down as Oracle's COO? That came as a shock to me. What do you all think of this? The WSJ article mentions Ray as a stabalizing influence. With him gone, will Larry start to run amok?
