Hi
I'm an oracle DBA in ROME (at T.I.M.).
We' have tried to administer in remote an oracle instance, on ORACLE 7.3.=
4 on HP-UX 10.20.
We'have used the ORAPWD tool executing the command:
orapwd file=3Dorapw$ORACLE_SID password=3Dmanager entries=3D3
we'have move the file under the $ORACLE_HOME/dbs directory and then added=
to the init$ORACLE_SID.ora file the line:
remote_login_password=3Dshared.
We've used svrmgrl and the command connect internal@$ORACLE_SID (the remo=
te instance).
At the moment we are able to shut down the instance from remote but we ar=
e unable to start the instance shutted down.
We get the following error at the instance startup:
ORA-01031: insufficient privileges
The privileges to shutdown the intance are not enough to start it up!?!=20 May you Help me?
Thank's and excuse me for my english.
Greetings=20
