I would have sworn one could perform fast refreshes of snapshots when the
database link connects to an account different from the owner of the table
to be snapshotted and the owner of the table's snapshot_log. If the
account to which you are connecting has select privileges on both the table
to be snapshotted and the snapshot_logs and synonyms are properly in place.
Alas, this does not appear to be the case; alack, complete refreshes will be
done. Unless, it is a lack of a complete understanding of the steps
involved to do this.
