Its 816 db. Block size is 8K. We use out-of-line CLOBS so they go to a different tablespace. I'll check CHUNKSIZE and PCTVERSION. As for perl I dont know the internals of how it manages the inserts. If I get time I'll try SQL Loader and see how it handles them.
