Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> Roles in Oracle Forms
Hi listers,
Oracle 7.3.4, AIX 4.2.1, Forms 4.5
Forms developer asked me (DBA) to create a role for a specific user =
with
specific privileges. Done.
Now, she wants to grant the role to the user using the forms security =
menu,
and the new role does not appear in the list of "available roles".
I runned the frm45sec.sql to recreate the view FRM45_ENABLED_ROLES and =
the
new role is included there, but still can't see it through the menu.
I have no idea of what is going on and don't know how to solve it..=20
Please help!
Thanks in advance,
Saludos,

That's by design. The Windows versions of SQL*Plus do not display information from the help tables. All you get is that dialog referring you to the manuals. I don't really understand why Oracle felt they had to do that, but do it they did.
