http://sunsolve.sun.com/ is broadly equivalent to MetaLink http://docs.sun.com/ is broadly equivalent to TechNet.

There's a mailing list called "Sun Managers" but I can't remember the URL for subscribe info (I'm offline on my laptop ATM) but you should be able to find it on Yahoo.
