Rachel,
If I remember correctly (old age is beginning to slip in here) there wasn't much to administer. Basically your third party needs to define the load methodology and set up the end user end. Otherwise all you've got to "manager" is disk space burn which I remember as being about 3 times what you calculate (with the fudge factor added in for Vicor {We will buy no disk before it's time]), especially since it's a completely denormalized and very highly indexed setup. We're looking at Cognos for the same functionality, mainly since PeopleSoft ships with a 5 user license for their products. Enjoy!!
PS: Careful on working out the sleep needs. You'll end up with a Grumpy doll on top of your monitor some morning. Mine landed a year ago!!

Dick,
I *think* that's good news for me. We will be implementing a data warehouse via a third-party vendor (we want their product to collect data for us). We were originally going to go with an Oracle database but their reporting product doesn't work for ad hoc reports for Oracle (yet). So we are using their native database... Redbrick.
Nice to know someone thinks it's decent, since I haven't had time to look at it (I do have to sleep sometimes, I AM working on cutting that out!) and I will be responsible for it when it is finally installed (can you say "doesn't seem to matter what database we are using, she's a DBA, so she knows how to administer it"... OY!)
