I would: 1) Tell them that if they hose it up don't call you. 2) Load the good paper in the printer. 3) Print and send resume.

It's the job of a DBA to list all the bad things that could happen in this case and give advice about the rationality of such a request. And recover from any stupidity visted on the database by such an action. In this case, you're an advisor and the advisee doesn't have to follow your sage cautionary tale.
I can see/feel/hear your frustration. At the end of the day, though, it's
someone else's job on the line.
