Problem connecting to 8.1.5 database with 8.1.6 listener

Has anyone else run into this problem. It connects fine to the 8.1.6 database and to an old 8.0.4 database, both on the same machine as the 8.1.5 database.

When I try to connect to the 8.1.5 database with svrmgrl and sqlplus (local or remote), I get an ORA-12500: TNS: Listener failed to start a dedicated server process.

I also get the following console message on the server: ld.so.1: oraclez815: fatal: relocation error: file
/z4/app/oracle/product/8.1.6/lib/libjox8.so: symbol joxsgal_: referenced
symbol not found

Does anyone have a fix for this problem.
