The absolute authority on Solaris is http://docs.sun.com/ which is a very comprehensive resource. For tuning, get Adrian Cockroft's book, which is known as "the Ferrari book" even tho' it has a Porsche on the cover. O'Reilly have good books on bash and emacs, and for systems programming, you can't beat W. Richard Stevens (RIP).
