Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Veritas NetBackup Info Needed
Hmmmm, I just had a bad experience with Veritas. Had to restore clients
data. But, since I'm not too sure how Veritas works, and the client took
it upon himself to put it in place without making sure his Oracle database
was setup correctly, ie: Archive Log Mode. Then my opinion may not be
unbiased.
cheers.....

Hi List,
We are evaluating some backup software for our company and need some
info on Veritas. We would like to know if it is worth the bucks, how
difficult it is to set up and maintain. Also, some pointers to some
good websites for such info will be appreciated.
Another question would be does it require EBU or RMAN to work
correctly?
TIA
David
