Number of Redo Log Files

Hi,

     Currently my application is having 9 redo logs files of 100MB each and the database is in archivelog mode. When updating a large table lots of logs are generated and the archivelog process cannot compete to backup the last log. I am planning to add more number of logs and make it to around 15. Are there any implecations or limitations on the number of logs ????
