yes GUI of Oracle Applications was built entirely with Oracle Tools - notably Developer2000 1.6.1 was used for Oracle Applications rel. 11.
Applications 11i are built with the Oracle Developer6i. If you want to develop any extension to the standard software you should be familiar with the Oracle Tools. The useful advices for developing customizations can be found in Oracle Applications Developer's Guide (that is a part of the standard Applications documentation set).

What is the software used for the UI part in Oracle Applications ? Is it Developer 2000 or something else ? Since I am new bee to Oracle Applications where can I get more information about the technology used and the modules supported ?
