Normally you can increase your sga upto one third of your RAM (i.e. 64
mb).You can extend your sga beyond this ,but this will effect your os and
other applications on server.

Subject: How much SGA?
Hello Seniors,
I have to tune a database on WinNT. My observation is as follows
Physical RAM is 192MB. Oracle Total SGA is 15MB. I see that i can increase
the size of SGA a lot. My question is how to find out how much i can
allocate to SGA. Normally how much WinNT OS needs. I want the whole SGA in
memory without anny paging and swapping.
Thanks a lot.
Ravi.
