Hello there,

I intend to follow the web development path related to the database. Where should i begin? Should i start from JDeveloper 3 or learn the pure java first (thinking in java - book). I have SQL and D2k background along with some HTML.

I hear lots of things like Java, Corba, servlets, applets, EJB, JServer, JSP, JSQL, Oracle8i, JDBC, ASP, perl, cold-fusion, etc. almost as many as there are software companies. I want to know, which is by far the most popular and scalable web-database combination these days, specially with the oracle database as the backend, in your OPINION. I don't wanna start with something that won't last in the future.
