Even so, PL/SQL is not going to go away anytime soon.
Maybe you've noticed all of the new features in 8.1.5 and 8.1.6?
Also, I can write my PL/SQL and be running it long before you've created the same functionality in Java. ;)
i.e. Java development takes much longer
