Backups

I was wondering if anyone has used backup software called LiveVault.  I
spoke with one of their sales reps a conference and he claimed that the
software could backup an Oracle database no matter what state it was in,
open or closed, noarchivelog or archivelog mode, it did not matter.  I
argued that this would not be possible, but he insisted that he was correct.



Any thoughts?
