Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: Default accounts on ORACLE 8.1.6
I think that the script that creates these users is utlsampl.sql or
something like that. It can be found in the $ORACLE_HOME/rdbms/admin
directory. As I recall, not all the example users have objects. It has
been a while.

Subject: Default accounts on ORACLE 8.1.6
I know that every Oracle database install starts with the accounts: DBA,SYSTEM,SCOTT. However, I noticed a few new accounts ,new to me, like ADAMS and others. The Oracle installation manual describes deleting the accounts you don't need out of the database but what about the tablespaces/tables/indexes etc that those users owned. Does anyone know which accounts are "safe" to remove and what database objects should be removed with them?
