No, you would not need to run the previous version of catexp.sql script in this case. You only need to use the 815 export to export the file and use the 815 import to import it back.

You maybe mistaken it with the Oracle 8->7 path. While you will require to run catexp7.sql in the 8 database and use the 7 export (and import) option.

This usually requires running the previous version catexp.sql script first and using the previous versions exp program.
