Thanks to those who replied.
Before I could see thru this mail list. I installed uninstalled oracle
8i and installed it again. Now I have Developer 6 but I donot know how
to proceed with the installation as NT is getting confused with Oracle
Homes.
After installing Developer 6 it changes the Oracle Home to OraNt.
Because of which it is not able to start the database.
What do I now? Any help greatly appreciated.

Hi,
<p>I have NT 4.0 with Oracle 8i ver 8.1.5.
<p>After successful installation of Oracle Server, I tried to install Developer
2000 which also succeeded. After rebooting the system, I was unable to
start the database.
<br>It gave
