Home -> Community -> Mailing Lists -> Oracle-L -> RE: PowerJ3.0 with Oracle 8.1.6
Dear List,
We are trying to connect PowerJ3.0 with Oracle8.1.6 on Sun2.7.
I followed the JDBC instruction loading the driver and connecting to the
database. After I downloaded, unzipped, configured the files, set up the
TNS, the first problem was that I could not automatically get the Oracle
JDBC driver. If I manually typed in the Oracle JDBC driver and URL syntax,
chose 'no profile', I was able to connect to the Oracle database. After a
successful connection, I was still getting an 'ora0942 error-table or view
does not exist'. There is no priv. or table ownership issue here. This is
an existng query running against an existing table and PB user is the owner
of the table.
Any one with a suggestion ?
Million thanks
