Solaris 8.0.4.4 Upgrade to 8.0.6

we are currently on 8.0.4.4 on Solaris 2.6 and planning going to 8.0.6.....(have tested it to see that the upgrade works in principal)  

anybody out there had (bad) experience with this process - and horror stories to tell?  

any recommendations w.r.t. upgrading current database to 8.0.6 or creating a new DB as 8.0.6 and importing all data from the 8.0.4 database?  

Any comment on moving to 8.1.6 instead of 8.0.6 (beside all the new features?)
