I know I will still be able to get existing patches for a few years, if they are previously known bugs. But, we are still running HP-UX 10.20 and the direction is to upgrade the OS to HP-UX 11.0. That puts us on a new platform anyway, which always brings new "opportunities".

De-supported does not mean you won't get support, just that they won't create any bug fixes for that version. If you have a stable application on a stable version of Oracle then you should be okay. I wouldn't upgrade to a "supported" version which might not be stable for your application.

Just my $.02 ,
Ruth
