I believe you are right. It happened in all the 73 database, but Oracle
fixed this in version 8.X

That was true in 7.3. In 8, it rebuilds in the same tablespace it exists
in with the same storage
parameters. Of course, this is based on my observations which are limited
to only a couple of
platforms. It may be dependent on the platform as well as the version.
