Hi Kevin,

Event management of Oracle Enterprise Manager (OEM) does exactly this. However its basic component (which comes at no extra cost with the database) only have a few predefined events. You can buy the OEM diagnostic pack which would give you many more predefined events. If you want you can write your own event checking routines using TCL.

Hi list.

Is it possible for Oracle to send email notification when a specified event occurs? I haven't found anything in the docs that describes this, and I really don't want to reinvent the wheel if I can avoid it.

Thanks.
