Hi guys,
i am trying to load a data from an excel sheet into a table in my db.
I readup abt sql loader, and it has so many different parameters and each parameters has so many different variations and options . and data can be loaded with different conditions..
i tried reading the oracle documentation, but seriously i had a hard time understanding the documentation..
Any guys has a site or book that is suitable for dummies like me ?
SQL Loader for Dummies or something lidat..
2) i have save the file into csv and open the csv file with a notepad.
i contain 2000 records where each record take up only 1 column.
inside the notepad its like this
James
Peter
Alex
Pinky
from examples i seen from the web
can i say that oracle will know each row is a new record if it is in a new line or do i have to specify it?
because i only specifications that specifys that each column is separated by ',' by doesnt say how each row is seperated.
3) does anyone has a default control file for me to take look ? a simple one pls.
just for me to load my 2000 record of 1 column into a table of 1 column..
Thanks
