If there are multiple databases on one linux machine with different
configurations,then how to set os specific kernel parameters?
On what factors would there settings depend?

yes thats right but is there any algoritm to calculate the values?

and how to know what semaphores and shared memory segments are associated with each database?

You do not associate semaphores with each database.
In simple words, they are like simple flags for indicating something (primitive, in terms of Unix processing).
Just Google. Too much of write ups on them. One such here.
