I am usinng Oracle 8 and Developer 6. Ihave installed Developer 6 on client computer and copied TNSNAMES.ORA from database server to client's ADMIN folder. when i try to login using a form, the is an error that "ORA-12545: target host or object does not exist ".
Please guide me to resolve this problem.

I agree.
It's got to be the TNSNAMES check the connection parameters.
Also make sure that if you have many database instances in your server they are all contained in your TNSNAMES file.
It happend to me once, we have 2 instances ,ADMI and OPER, so when I moved from one computer to another, the new one didn't have OPER in the file.
