Toad - Database connectivity problem [message #300996]

Hi,

I installed Toad free version, i already have Oracle 10g database. i am getting some error message while i am connecting to this database.
the error message is as follows

ora-12154:TNS: could not resolve the connect identifier specified

my TNSNAMES.ORA file is in my E drive .
I installed Toad in C Drive.

Help me in solving this problem !!

Did you try to set the TNS_ADMIN system variable to point to the TNSNAMES.ORA? Something like (on MS Windows]

SET TNS_ADMIN=E:\some_directory\

i am unable to find that "TNS_ADMN"

IF possible can u specify which folder it is ?

i am new to this... is it a file or folder

i cannot able to locate the tns_admin in environment variables / [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ORACLE] as well !!!
