Hi...
I am currently using toad but my company wants me to explore differences between toad and other s/w such as plsql developer and embarcadero rapid sql. Anyone, has previously worked on them and provide some clues on their usefulness or atleast what they don't have compared to toad.
Thx.

I have been told that pl/sql developer is significantly cheaper than toad. Never bothered to check that, but it might be worthwhile for you to check.
Like Frank states, all these tools are good if you are used to working with them.

pl/sql developer is much cheaper than Toad.
In my previous job, we used TOAD, where I am we use PL/SQL Developer.
There are strengths and weaknesses to either one.
To emphasize what Frank said:
When I first joined on, I was cursing pl/sql developer, only because of my unfamiliarity. Last week on a customer site, they had TOAD and I was cursing that, because I had become used to pl/sql developer.
In the long run, it comes down to what you are used to and comfortable with.
