Hi,
We find that in Service Contracts, for few contracts which has End Date (year) > 2050, in "Contract Status" form end date is displayed as 1950..
Eg:-
If a Service Contract End date is 08-FEB-2099 then when you go to "Contract Status" form (Nav:- Tools-> change Status)
the End date is displayed as 08-FEB-1999.
Can anyone tell me what could be the issue or is it a Bug ?
Thanks,
Venkatesham

Venkatesham,
It seems you have run into a Y2K bug. When 2000 AD approached, Oracle created a way of converting dates stored as text where only the decade and year was specified (eg. 89) into four digit dates where the system would pick the most likely century, (ie. 20xx if the decade was a low number, and 19xx if it was a high number). It seems that this is the problem.
So it is a bug, but is it a bug in the E-Business Suite? It could be, if this is a standard field and not some kind of flexfield it probably is.
